Khao Yai Viewpoints: Km 30, Pha Diao Dai and Khao Khiao
Sea-of-mist mornings are one of Khao Yai’s signature experiences. These are the lookouts to know.

Who it suits
Photographers, early risers and anyone who enjoys a scenic drive. Most viewpoints need little walking.
How to get there
All three are reached by car along the park road from the northern gate. Enter as the gate opens for the best light; allow time for slow driving and wildlife on the road.
Best time to visit
October to February offers the best chance of mist and clear sunrises. In the rainy season, cloud can block views but the forest is at its greenest.
Check before you go
- Some upper-road areas may be restricted or closed — check the official park website
- Temperatures at altitude can be much cooler than at your hotel
- Park only in designated spaces
