How to Choose a Pool Villa Resort in Khao Yai for Couples or Families
The same villa can be perfect for a honeymoon and wrong for a family of four. Answer these five questions and your shortlist will almost write itself.
1. How many people — and how old?
Couples can book almost any villa. Families must check the listed occupancy: some villas are capped at two or three guests (for example the Forest Pool Villa at MUTHI MAYA lists a maximum of three), while others are designed for larger groups.
2. How safe is the pool for children?
Ask for pool depth, fencing or a gate, and whether there is a shallow area. A 1.5 m-deep pool is lovely for adults but needs constant supervision with small children.
3. What do you want on site?
| If you are… | Look for |
|---|---|
| A couple | In-villa dining, spa, quiet grounds, a view |
| A family with young children | Kids club, cots, family rooms, simple restaurant |
| Several families | Multi-bedroom residence, kitchen, outdoor space |
4. How far is the park?
Couples planning sunrise drives and families wanting short car journeys both benefit from staying near Thanarat Road. Hilltop or countryside resorts trade convenience for views.
5. Heated pool or not?
If you travel between November and February, ask whether the private pool is heated — mornings in Khao Yai can be cold.
